CWHC Annual General Meeting 2020

Cumberland Women’s Health Centre held its 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the new Centre on November 25th. We were honoured to be joined by Clr Phil Bradley (Parramatta Council) and Clr Lisa Lake (Cumberland Council), as well as members of our Management Committee and guests from our ATSI Women’s Group.

We were very fortunate begin our AGM with a a traditional smoking ceremony performed by Dharag woman Jacinta Toban. Attendees were invited to cleanse themselves in smoke before Jacinta performed a cleansing of the new CWHC Centre. As a result of this ceremony, CWHC have made a commitment to researching the history of the land on which the Centre stands, to pay respects to Aboriginal history and culture.

We thank our newly nominated Management Committee for 2021 and all guest who attended our AGM. We look forward to a prosperous and rewarding year in 2021.
