Services

The Centre provides services to women who live in the Parramatta, Holroyd, The Hills and Auburn Local Government areas.

The services we provide are:

Support and advocacy for women who have experienced violence

Women who are experiencing / have experienced domestic or family violence can contact us for information, appropriate referral, crisis counselling, support and advocacy. We also have regular support groups for women who have experienced violence. These services are free and available to all women in the region.

Information and referral

Crisis support and advocacy

The centre has a Counsellor/Anti Violence Worker specialising in issues relating to Domestic Violence. As well as counselling, our Anti Violence Worker offers group work, crisis support, advocacy, information and referral. Interpreters can be provided for women who do not speak English.

Community Development Worker

We have a community development worker who works alongside marginalised groups of women in the local area on capacity-building projects such as community education workshops. This worker plays an important role in building relationships with key people and organisations in order to facilitate workshops that aim to empower women and reduce social isolation.

Currently, this worker is responsible for four main projects – Aboriginal women, women from refugee and migrant backgrounds, lesbian women and women living with disabilities.
