NAIDOC Week Celebrations

Each year in July NAIDOC week is celebrated to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders achievements and to celebrate their history and culture. Cumberland Women’s Health Centre was proud to be a part of this special and very important day together with Holroyd Council. With great weather and great people the day was a great success and enjoyed by all who attended.   Smoking Ceremony which is used to cleans and ward off bad spirits.     Children dancing traditional Aboriginal dancing which included the dance of the kangaroo.   Great didgeridoo playing and free workshops were offered to the men and boys who attended.   Tree Planting  ...
